The Will Will Web | 釐清網管型 Switch 裡與 VLAN + Tag + Untag 之間的觀念

由於兩台都已經設定了 VLAN，我原本以為說設定了 VLAN 就等同於在 Switch 實體隔離了這些 Ports，當我只接上 Switch 1 的 Port 02 接上 Switch 2 的 Port 01 是沒問題的，Switch 兩邊的網路會通，而且兩邊又是同樣的 VLAN 所以不覺得有異。

但是當我 Switch 1 的 Port 10 接上 Switch 2 的 Port 09 之後，VLAN 2 的網路就完全不通，可是 VLAN 1 的網路都是正常的！

D-Link 的 Spanning tree 預設是關閉的

Intel 的網管型 Switch 預設是將 Spanning tree 打開的

在多 Switch 的情況下，封包交換時必須依賴 Tag 資料封裝在 FRAME 最前面加一個 4 Bytes 的 TAG ( 前面 2 BYTES 固定是 8100h )，基本上來說 Tag 就代表著一個附帶的資訊，可告訴網路設備說我這次傳入的封包是一個帶有 Tag 資訊的封包。

對不支援 Tagged VLAN 的 Switch 來說，這類封包會自動丟棄

Switch 裡預設的情況下所有的 Ports 都是 Untagged VLAN Ports，

Please help to configure vlan on HP procurve

running network present - no vlans

Vlan 10 - primary vlan -one main server with dhcp server - ip address 192.168.1.1 - 255.255.255.0

Vlan 20 - Voice vlan - PBX with dhcp server ip address 192.168.2.1 - 255.255.255.0

Vlan 30 - Guest Vlan - Internet Proxy server with dhcp server ip address 192.168.100.1 - 255.255.240.0

Hp Procurve 2620 24 ports switches - 2 nos

I want to separate each vlan and assign dhcp server to each vlans

how to tagged and untagged ports ?

its very grateful if you provide the entrie CLI commands

I used to find the "menu" that is available off the CLI is a convenient way to configure
VLANs for switchports, especially when you're familiar with other vendors where VLAN memebership is configured in interface context mode.

On Procurves, VLAN membership is configured in VLAN context mode.

So you go,

vlan 10 untag 1-12
vlan 10 tag 22,24
vlan 20 tag 1-12,22,24
vlan 30 untag 13-20
vlan 30 tag 22,24

and 22,24 are the ports you use to link your two switches together.

You'll need a 4th VLAN to connect to your WAN/internet router:
vlan 99 untag 23

And a default route pointing at your WAN router.

And why use 192.168. addresses? Use 10. addresses, they are way nicer.

Thanks for the update.

I tested this group policy setting on my computer, and it works. When right-click taskbar, the "Lock the taskbar" optin is grayed and selected.

Enable these settings in your group policy.

Lock the Taskbar

Lock all taskbar settings

Prevent users from adding or removing toolbars

Prevent users from rearranging toolbars

Prevent users from moving taskbar to another screen dock location

Prevent users from resizing the taskbar

Check if it works.

If it fails, run cmd as administrator, input gpresult /h gpreport.html to get a group policy report of your computer, check if the settings are correctly applied.

We have a web service that is running slowly in production. In QA and UAT it is fine but those are housed at our corporate HQs. But production is in a data center in the cloud. I ran wireshark and found that it is making at least 6 calls to NBNS WPAD (each one timing out), each taking about 3/4 of a second making it very slow. I want to turn off WPAD since the environment is not configured to use it but it is still making the calls and just wasting time.

My platform is windows server 2008 r2 with IE9. I want to completely disable WPAD DNS queries (and NBNS queries). We don't use a proxy. We don't use DHCP. I want to stop WPAD but I haven't been successful. I have tried the following:

1.disable "automatically detect settings" in IE

2.disable "use automatic configuration script" in IE

3.Checked that WinHTTP Web Proxy Auto-Discovery Service is not running automatically, it is set to run manual so I think that should be ok.

4.Executed "Netsh winhttp show proxy" which tells me Direct access (no proxy server).

What am I missing that needs to be turned off?

在Windows環境下，清除cache的指令如下：
ipconfig /flushdns

這個功能一般user應該很少用到，但搞IT的人卻是必備的技能。
當client瀏覽網頁、ping domain時，client PC會先透過DNS Server解析domain-IP的對應，並把結果暫存在cache裡，因此下次再次用到這個domain時，便不需要再次找DNS Server解析，以增加連線效率。
但有時會遇到，暫存的資料實際上已經異動時，client卻不知道，因此不論怎麼連都連不到，此時有幾個辦法可以解決。
1. 重開機
2. Restart 網卡
3. 下指令強制清除cache

Generally, it's not a good idea to discharge you battery below a certain threshold if you at least a bit care about its life. Too late for you, but you can still read why. That's probably also the reason why the wise ones at Microsoft decided to not allow you to set the critical level below 3% and also prevent you from ignoring the critical event.

Still, what's not available from the dropdowns seems to be possible via command line tool powercfg. If you run the following command from an elevated command console (cmd Run as Administrator) you'll get exactly what you are asking for:

powercfg -setdcvalueindex SCHEME_CURRENT SUB_BATTERY BATACTIONCRIT 0

This command will set the critical event handler to "Do Nothing" when running on battery in your currently selected power scheme (see powercfg -L), thus your system will die only when the battery protection circuit cuts the power off.

A very good rule to follow here is the "80% rule". This simply means that you should never discharge a LiPo pack down past 80% of its CAPACITY to be safe. For example, if you have a 2000 mAh LiPo pack, you should never draw more than 1600 mAh out of the pack (80% x 2000). This is assuming a healthy pack as well that has the full 2000 mAh capacity (as packs age, their capacity drops).

This again is where computerized chargers pay for themselves many times over so you can see how much capacity the battery takes allowing you to adjust your flight times accordingly to stay within that 80% rule to get the most life out of your pack.

If you don't have a computerized charger to confirm the amount of capacity, another good indicator is to measure the open circuit voltage (no load voltage) of the pack or individual cells right after a flight/drive with a digital volt meter or other similar digital voltage measuring device. An 80% discharged LiPo cell, will give an approximate open circuit voltage of about 3.74 to 3.75 volts.
